Osteopathy

What is Victory Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a system of manual therapy that is based upon the principle that harmony between the muscular, connective tissue, nervous and skeletal structures of the body is vital to an individual's wellbeing.

A fundamental principle is that all body parts operate together in an integrated manner - so, if a part of the body is compromised and restricted due to illness or injury, other systems within the body will adapt their function in order to address the imbalance. Although this compensation may act as a useful adaptive mechanism in the short term, if left unaddressed, it may lead to overuse, pain, stiffness and inflammation in these other bodily systems.

To address these issues, osteopaths use a variety of manual therapy techniques, including joint manipulation, soft tissue massage and neural conditioning techniques.
