Physiotherapy

“Nell offers a very professional and effective approach that is also delivered with warmth and charm. I would recommend anyone who hasn’t found a positive result elsewhere to book an appointment with her. She gets results.”

What is Victory physiotherapy?

Victory’s physiotherapists - an elite group of specialists with many years of experience and higher degrees - believe in keeping things simple. We focus on musculoskeletal issues such as back pain or a knee injury. We talk to you about your symptoms, medical history, previous treatment and goals, and then assess your body to work out what physical restrictions are holding you back.

The majority of physical restrictions start with painful or stiff joints, which in turn affect the proper functioning of muscles and nerves. Victory’s physiotherapists are among the very few UK-based practitioners who are accredited to use the Sarah Key Method, one of the world’s most successful systems of advanced manual therapy techniques. We combine this with specific exercises to treat the joints and soft tissues, helping you restore normal function, flexibility and control. If appropriate, we may also use techniques such as taping or acupuncture, or recommend using the Mobiliser bed.

Why should I use Victory?

Victory’s physiotherapists are committed to helping you get better, and we work closely with all Victory’s other clinicians to ensure that your mind and body function as well as possible. If you require treatment that is outside the scope of physiotherapy, our clinicians will recognise this and offer you the opportunity to see another member of our team, who may work with or instead of the physiotherapist to help you reach your goals; or may discuss referring you for further opinion externally to Victory if appropriate.

Our assessment sessions routinely take 60 minutes and include a full assessment, discussion and explanation of your injury or condition, and - if appropriate - an appropriate book, exercise programme and exercise equipment (back block, foam roller or massage ball).  Most conditions will require follow-up sessions of an hour, but it is sometimes possible to book half-hour sessions for minor issues.

Who are Victory’s physiotherapists?

All of Victory’s physiotherapists are Members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, registered with the Health Professions Council and have at least 10 years’ experience. They have postgraduate degrees (diploma/MSc) and accreditation in specialist musculoskeletal methods, plus significant experience working in high-pressure environments including the armed forces and elite sport.
